Sentendo ciò, il personale della reception ci ha pazientemente spiegato il percorso per il terminal dei traghetti più vicino, indicandoci anche gli orari meno affollati e dove acquistare i biglietti senza fare la fila. L'unico piccolo inconveniente è stato che, essendo in tre, abbiamo trovato solo due set di prodotti da bagno in camera. Una rapida telefonata e il personale, con grande gentilezza, ce ne ha portati tre, insieme a due bottiglie extra di acqua minerale in omaggio.
    Dopo tre giorni di soggiorno, ho capito che ciò che colpisce davvero le persone negli hotel storici non è il loro arredamento lussuoso, ma piuttosto il comfort e l'attenzione al cliente che derivano dall'esperienza. Xiamen Huaqiao Hotelnon ha cercato di seguire le tendenze del momento, ma si è concentrato sui dettagli che più interessano agli ospiti: posizione, pulizia e servizio. La prossima volta che sarò a Xiamen, sceglierò sicuramente di nuovo questo hotel, proprio per il suo fascino unico, rilassato e delicato, in stile antico, lungo Zhongshan Road.
